About the Event

Since 1996 Atariáda has been an annual meeting of users and fans of historic computers of (but not limited to) the Atari brand, organized by Atari Club. This year there will be a presentation of news, release of the next issue of Flop magazine, miscellaneous small competitions, network and multijoy games, etc. There will also be an Atari game corner not only for children.

Unlike some of the other Atari fans’ meetings, this event does not involve competitions in production. It is mainly a friendly meeting of people who know one another remotely and who usually only communicate with each other using the Internet. It is also opportunity to meet new, similarly "afflicted" people. Some of the participants who are particularly active bring along their own computers or game consoles. However, the number of the tables is limited, so we cannot guarantee a table to visitors who do not have booked their table through the registration form.

Entrance fee for 1 day is 250 CZK (10 EUR), for more days it is 500 CZK (20 EUR).

In order to keep the highest level of comfort for appropriately behaving visitors the organizers reserve the right to exclude persons behaving aggressively, inappropriately or being under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The extent of aggressiveness or being under the influence is to be decided by the organizers. Those who are not planning to behave decently are not welcome to visit this event. Furthermore we would like to point out that the whole building is a non-smoking area.


Transportation

Train:
From Olomouc main station take passenger train on the track 301 (towards Blatec, Prostějov) and get off at Nemilany stop, which is situated about 1 km from the venue. Furthermore you can use bus line no. 17.

Urban and suburban buses::
Always get off at “Slavonín, křižovatka” stop, which is situated about 100 meters from the Sokol house. The stop is serviced by:
  • line 17 towards Nemilany;
  • line 28 towards “Technologický park” or Nedvězí;
  • suburban line 780411 towards Lutín, Bystročice, Olšany or Nedvězí.
There is no direct connection from the main station to Slavonín. You can change to the above lines eg. at the Tržnice stop (tram lines no. 1, X4, 7 go there from the main station), at the “Zenit/Povel škola” stop (serviced by buses no. 12, 19, 26) or at the “Smetanovy sady” stop (serviced by train on the track 309 towards Senice na Hané, Drahanovice, Prostějov).

Tram:
Lines 1, X4 and U, towards Nová Ulice. Get off at Pionýrská stop, which is situated about 1 km from the venue.

Coaches:
Some connections coming from Brno or. Prostějov over D46 motorway stop at the Pionýrská stop, which is situated about 1 km from the venue.
